The Megatech 300 (formally known as the Megatech 300 Memorial Race) was a modified late model asphalt race held at McKinley Speedway on January 6, 2009 to honor past racecar drivers who died. In The Final Destination, a chain reaction pileup and structural collapse occurred during the race, resulting in the deaths of at least 52 people.
